Organist: Jeanne Johnson

Jeanne has been our organist since about 1985 and has been involved in music since childhood. After graduating from Sacramento State College, California, she taught elementary school, then joined IVS (International Voluntary Services) and spent seven years (1965-1972) in Vietnam as an English teacher, supervisor of English-teaching volunteers, teacher of English and business skills for the construction conglomerate RMK-BRJ, and, later, English professor at the Saigon Medical School.  In Vietnam, she met her future husband, Harry (Buz) Johnson, an Army officer from Medway whose ancestors and family were members of Christ Church, which is how she came to be here.  She and Buz have two sons, Josh and Harry III, and three grandchildren.
