His last Sunday with us was September 09, 2018. The Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts will be appointing a new priest at Christ Church shortly.]

The Rev. Dr. Paul Kolbet, Priest

The Rev. Dr. Paul Kolbet was ordained to the priesthood in 1996 and has since served
several congregations in the Dioceses of Northern Indiana and Massachusetts. He
studied for the priesthood at Yale Divinity School and then went on to earn a Ph.D. in
theology at the University of Notre Dame. He has taught at the University of Notre
Dame, Boston College, and is currently also a lecturer at Yale Divinity School. He is a
frequent conference speaker, the author of Augustine and the Cure of Souls: Revising a
Classical Ideal and co-editor of the Harp of Prophecy: Early Christian Interpretation
of the Psalms. He has also published articles on such topics early Christian spiritual
practices, psychology, and pastoral strategies. He and his wife, Amy, live in Wellesley.
They have one daughter, Chloe.

The Rev. Terry Hofmann, Deacon

The Rev. Terry Hofmann, was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of Massachusetts in
June 2012 after earning her Master of Divinity degree at the Episcopal Divinity School.
She has since served several congregations in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Prior to her
call to ministry, the Rev. Hofmann worked at Northeastern University (Graduate
Business School Dean), Boston University (Assistant Dean of Graduate Business
Programs) and Simmons College (Director of the MBA Program). She taught at Harvard
Business School after earning her MBA at Simmons College. Terry began her career as a
high school teacher of English, Speech, and Drama after earning her B.A. in English and
her M.A. in Communication from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Currently,
Terry works as the Director of Spiritual Life at Curry College in Milton. She also teaches
graduate courses in organizational communication, ethics, and negotiation at
Northeastern University. Terry is especially interested in working with congregations
and individuals in transition, discerning God’s call in the lived experience of our daily
lives. Her ministry is one of encouragement and empowerment.


Organist: Jeanne Johnson

Jeanne has been our organist since about 1985 and has been involved in music since childhood. After graduating from Sacramento State College, California, she taught elementary school, then joined IVS (International Voluntary Services) and spent seven years (1965-1972) in Vietnam as an English teacher, supervisor of English-teaching volunteers, teacher of English and business skills for the construction conglomerate RMK-BRJ, and, later, English professor at the Saigon Medical School.  In Vietnam, she met her future husband, Harry (Buz) Johnson, an Army officer from Medway whose ancestors and family were members of Christ Church, which is how she came to be here.  She and Buz have two sons, Josh and Harry III, and three grandchildren.
